  • We are focused — We only invest in industries where we have expertise and contacts and will only have investments in a handful of companies at any point in time.  Accordingly, as an investor/portfolio company you will receive our individual, focused attention.
  • We are able to move quickly — We maintain a small organization.  We do not have complicated committee structures or approval processes.  We make decisions quickly.
  • We are well connected — Although we have a small organization, we have established relationships with a wide range of top-tier banks, consultants, accounting firms, investment bankers and law firms whose resources can be brought to bear, if needed, to assist in a transaction.  Additionally, we have strong relationships with other private equity and venture capital firms, which can be beneficial where co-investment is needed.
  • We work internationally — Unlike other private equity and venture firms that may be geographically restricted, we are not afraid to invest outside of our geography.  Although we are based in Southern Ontario Canada we are amenable to business plans that call for international  experience and/or expansion.  We have a broad network of contacts throughout North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
  • Location, location, location — We have found that our location in Waterloo Ontario- one of the tech capitals of the world that also has one of the world’s fastest and steadiest economies – is of great benefit to our efforts in the alternative/renewable energy, insurance, business, software and real estate.
